My question is : Has anyone in their right mind ever read the first few pages of The New York Times and actually laughed?
The basic objectives of sustainability are to reduce consumption of non-renewable resources, minimize waste, and create healthy, productive environments.
You can grow your own food whether you live on a rural farm or in a tiny urban apartment. Urban gardening is all about using space wisely to regain a closer connection with your food and beautify your home or neighborhood.
Explore energy resources, such as wind, solar, hydroelectric, biomass, geothermal, ocean thermal, and wave power, that replenish themselves within a short period.
Locating the Farmers' Market nearest to you is now only a few clicks away. Localharvest.org is a useful and straight-forward site designed to faciliate your quest.

My first thought was that it would make a brilliant ad for the latest antidepressant:
"Blissnall- So Powerful you will find glee in even the greatest human tragedy"
Brought to you my the new Pharmafia
ha! reminds me somehow of those old 'mother's helper' pill adverts. you know, the ones featuring a 'before' pic of a concerned-looking man with two dirty, crying children hiding behind him, all of them looking sorrowfully at a slightly unkempt woman who is slumped despondently in a messy kitchen, face-to-face with a pile of dirty dishes. A huge pile of laundry is sometimes visible. And then the perky 'after' picture with the clean smiling children eating freshly baked cookies and drinking milk in a spotless kitchen -- their homework spread out neatly on the table, hubby beaming proudly from behind the newspaper in his comfy chair.

good question!
nice! He probably has a more depressing life than the things you see in the NYT considering the fact that he is reading it in the first place.
the ad excludes the "homeless" from the daily delivery deal?
