"Posse...what?"
The Posse Comitatus Act is a very obscure American law dating from the late 19th century... never heard of it?
Well, don't worry.... in the next few weeks you will become as familiar with this legalism as you have become with the ubiquitous word-pairing of: Bird Flu.
In fact, these two are scheduled for a twelve-round, knock-down, drag-out battle in the near future. As with the case of "Bird Flu", the media will be liberally "peppering" it's news with the words: posse comitatus. Similarly the MPC [Media Paranoia Complex] will be doing very little to explain this obscure legalism's true implications, scope and other pertinent facts relating to The Posse Comitatus Act.
